Quchi (LI11), “Crooked Pond”, is a point on the Large Intestine meridian. It is point 11 of the 20 on the channel. Clears heat, cools blood, eliminates Wind, benefits tendons and joints.

At the lateral end of the elbow crease when the elbow is flexed at 90°.

What its classification means

Sea point (合, hé)

Last of the transport points, near the elbow or knee: the Qi “goes deep” and joins the organ. It has been used for disorders of the fu organs and the Stomach.

Precautions

Safe point. Because of its strong heat- and blood-pressure-lowering effect, use with caution in hypotensive or very weak patients.
