A warming home infusion of fresh ginger and red jujube, common in the cold months.

Ingredients (2 servings)

Preparation

  1. Simmer the water with ginger and jujubes gently for 10 minutes.
  2. Rest 2 minutes and strain.
  3. Sweeten with a little honey only once the drink is warm, not boiling.

Traditional reading

It is the teaching pair of the warming repertoire: pungent, dispersing ginger with the sweetness of jujube. It is studied as a seasonal drink, not a remedy.

Variations

  • A small cinnamon stick moves it toward the hotter repertoire.
  • With aged tangerine peel it gains a digestive aromatic note.

Precautions

Concentrated ginger can worsen reflux and interact with anticoagulants; never give honey to children under one year.
