Zulinqi (GB41), “Foot Governor of Tears”, is a point on the Gallbladder meridian. It is point 41 of the 44 on the channel. Opening point of Dai Mai vessel.

Location

On the dorsum of the foot, in the depression distal to the junction of the 4th and 5th metatarsal bases.

Functions according to tradition

Opening point of Dai Mai vessel. Expels Wind, resolves Damp-Heat, benefits the eyes, regulates the meridians.

What its classification means

Stream point (输, shū)

Third of the transport points: the Qi “flows”. It is associated with heaviness of the body and joint pain; in the yin channels it coincides with the Source point.

Crossing with an extraordinary vessel

At this point the channel crosses the Girdle Vessel (Dai Mai, 带脉), which encircles the waist, one of the eight extraordinary vessels.

Precautions

No specific contraindications. Shallow needling between the metatarsals.
