Functions according to tradition

Front-Mu of Large Intestine. Regulates Small and Large Intestine, transforms Dampness, relieves abdominal pain, regulates Middle Jiao Qi. Essential for all intestinal disorders.

What its classification means

Front-Mu or alarm point (募, mù)

On the chest or abdomen, where the Qi of an organ “gathers”. Its tenderness to pressure guides diagnosis; it is used more in acute conditions and those of the fu organs.

Precautions

Caution during pregnancy. Check bladder position before needling.
