TCM Gynecological Protocol
Sanyinjiao (SP-6), Xuehai (SP-10), Guanyuan (CV-4) and Taichong (LV-3) form a classic protocol for gynecological health. In TCM, women's health depends on the balance of Qi, Blood, Kidney and Liver. This protocol nourishes Blood, regulates menstruation and calms the Shen.

Women's Health in TCM
Gynecological health in TCM depends on four pillars: Qi, Blood, Kidney and Liver. The Kidney governs reproduction, the Liver regulates Blood and emotions, the Spleen produces Blood. The Chong Mai and Ren Mai regulate menstruation.
Meeting of the Three Yin. The most important point for gynecological health: regulates the Spleen, Liver and Kidney.
Sea of Blood. Nourishes and activates Blood. Essential for dysmenorrhea and skin conditions.
Gate of Origin. Strengthens Yuan Qi and the uterus. Fundamental for infertility and exhaustion.
Step by step
Sanyinjiao (SP-6) and Xuehai (SP-10) Bilateral
The combination SP-6 + SP-10 is the most important duo for gynecological health in TCM. SP-6 regulates the three Yin and SP-10 activates Blood.
- Duration
- 3 minutes
- Ideal 3-5 days before menstruation for PMS
- For dysmenorrhea, apply from the beginning of pain
- Clockwise direction to tonify irregular or scanty cycles
Guanyuan (CV-4) - Gate of the Uterus
CV-4 in the lower abdomen is the most important point for nourishing Yuan Qi and warming the uterus. Heat in this area is fundamental for menstrual health and fertility.
- Duration
- 3 minutes
- Better on an empty stomach or 2h after eating
- Add CV-6 (Qihai) with the same technique to enhance the effect
- For menopause, emphasize this point
Taichong (LV-3) Bilateral
LV-3 is the Yuan-Source point of the Liver. Moves stagnant Qi, treats premenstrual irritability, pain from stagnation and emotional tension related to the cycle.

- 2 minutes
- For PMS: counterclockwise direction (disperse stagnant Qi)
- For irregular cycles: clockwise direction (tonify)
- Combine with SP-6 to enhance
Post-Practice Care
- Rest 10 minutes
- Drink warm water with ginger or cinnamon
- Keep the lower abdomen warm
- Keep a cycle diary to observe changes
Contraindications
- SP-6, SP-10, CV-4 contraindicated during pregnancy
- Do not apply during heavy active menstrual bleeding
