Jueyinshu (BL14)

Jueyinshu (BL14), “Jue Yin Shu”, is a point on the Bladder meridian. It is point 14 of the 67 on the channel. Back-Shu of the Pericardium: regulates the Heart, unbinds the chest and calms the Shen.

Location

In the upper back, level with the lower border of the T4 spinous process, 1.5 cun lateral to the posterior median line.

What its classification means

Back-Shu point (背俞, bèi shū)

Located on the back, on the inner branch of the Bladder channel, at the level of the organ it relates to. Tradition prefers it for chronic disorders and disorders of the zang organs.

Precautions

Needle obliquely towards the spine: deep perpendicular insertion reaches the lung.
